Most single-family exterior jobs take three to five days depending on square footage, siding material, and weather. Exterior painting is weather-dependent — we schedule around temperature and rain to make sure the paint cures properly, which is part of why it lasts.

Late spring through early fall gives the most reliable weather window in the Chicago area, though we can work whenever daytime temperatures and conditions allow the paint to cure properly.
Does exterior paint really need to handle freeze-thaw cycles?
Yes. Paint that isn't rated for it, or that goes on over poor prep, tends to crack and peel after a winter or two. We use coatings suited to the climate.
Do you paint brick and stucco?
